Cora Josting: Chairwoman

Cora Josting, Germany, studied literature and cultural studies, lived in New York, Beaune/FR, Berlin, and Leipzig.
Has been part of a Palestinian family since 1993, co-founded the Ibn Rushd Fund for Freedom of Thought in 1998.
A writer and translator, conceives and coordinates cultural and educational projects; organizes concert tours for choirs and orchestras in Europe.
Projects within the Ibn Rushd Fund: Ibn Rushd Lectures (since 2012); philosophical salons focusing on topics related to the Arab world. Beneficiary Concert for Syria (2015), The missing Journey of Ibn Battuta (2016), and the [zait wa: zaʕtar] Festival of Palestinian Arts and Culture (2020/2021).
Omar Saad: Secretary to the board

Omar Saad, Lebanon/Germany/France. Studied engineering at the Technical University of Berlin, lives in Berlin and frequently travels to Arab countries, most recently to Algeria.
For almost three decades now, Omar has been successfully organising projects and activities in the field of cultural mediation and intercultural understanding – ranging from educational projects to culinary arts.
Member of the Ibn Rushd Fund eV since 2017.
Amany Abdelrazek-Alsiefy: Cash Manager

Amany Alsiefy is a writer and lecturer at the Centre for Transdisciplinary Gender Studies at Humboldt University in Berlin. Born in Al-Mahallah Al-Kubra, Egypt, she earned her BA in English Language and Literature from Tanta University and later obtained an MA from the University of Potsdam and a PhD from the Free University of Berlin. Her research focuses on gender theories, fashion studies, and postcolonial literature from the MENA region.
Dr.Alsiefy is the author of Modern Egyptian Women, Fashion, and Faith: Discourses and Representations (De Gruyter, 2023). Dr. Alsiefy also serves as a section editor for Open Cultural Studies and has been a member of the Ibn Rushd Fund e.V. since 2017.
